He always loved the rose garden. I feel so close to him here.
I hope he is taking care of himself and will soon be home. His last letter was full of the things he was keeping from me. I could tell by the tone. He doesn't want to burden me with the horrible details.
War is so awful. It is tearing apart our country and our families. I pray everyday for it to end and his return. I don't know what I would do without him.
Oh, now look how I have crushed the rose, it is his favorite.
